21st Century Task Force

September 19, 2012 

Creative and Divergent Thinkers

 

·        Kids competing globally!

·        Convent:  insight to action (application)

·        Creativity – conserve and preserve:  innate creativity

·        Create freedom to fail – part of science method.

Bring stakeholders in. Show evidence.

·        Collaborate – with business, disciplines, schools

·        Design process shift!

·        Look to business (measure leadership, etc.)

·        Learn from the lessons of business.

·        New unimagined solutions.

·        Developmental readiness.

·        Scaffold the skills to articulate the habits K-12+.

·        Courage to disrupt.

·        What are the measurements?  We will do what we measure!

·        New teacher evaluation system: How do we measure courage for example?

·        Multiple measures …

·        21st Learning – implications for space and time (schedule)
